Cancelled: Author Day: Ruth Rosenberg Naparstek In-Person
Please join us as we welcome three distinguished and local published authors, Karen Miller, Charles Benoit, and Ruth Rosenberg Naparstek, for a day of laughs and enlightenment. We will hear from each author as they describe the path that took them from beginning writer to published nationally-known author. Each session is one hour long and there will be time for questions at the end of each session. We can't wait to hear from these three dynamic and enthralling authors. More information below.
Ruth has published more than 20 books on regional history in Western New York and Pennsylvania. She holds an M.A. in American History from SUNY at Brockport, a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology, an A.A. in Journalism/Mass Communications and has done field work in archeology through Tel Aviv University in Beersheba, Israel. Ruth teaches American History and Sociology at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College as an adjunct professor. She frequently works with elementary school students on New York State local history curriculum. She has presented teachers' workshops and seminars, and has developed teachers' resources, emphasizing primary materials. She customizes presentations and talks to suit the needs of the audience. Ruth served as the Municipal Historian in Rochester, New York for nearly 25 years.
Ruth founded Herons Bend Productions in 2007 to research, write and publish the history of the towns, villages and countryside of America.
