Travelogue - Vieux Quebec In-Person

Visit Old Quebec City with Gene Wolfarth just before the city's 400th birthday.  We begin in Place Royal, the old port founded by Samuel Champlain in 1608.  Many of the buildings here date from the 17th century.  We climb the bluffs and enter the old walled city, much of which is authentic 18th century.  We tour the ancient cobblestone streets, hotels, churches, shops, and museums.  The Citadel, the oldest still-active fort in Canada, presides over the city.  Included are side trips to Saint Anne’s Canyon, the famous Montmorency Falls and its international fireworks competition, and the Basilica St. Anne de Beaupre.

No registration needed. Light refreshments will be served.  Sponsored by Friends of the Webster Public Library.
