CHESS! In-Person

Join us at the library to learn the ancient art of playing chess! Former Klem North chess instructor, Craig Hurlbut, will help new players learn the game and answer any questions for those already in the know.  If you and your opponent are already chess pros, you can use this time and space for your current face off! Chess is a game of intellect and strategy, played by millions of people worldwide. We hope that you may discover a life-long interest in the game, right here at your local public library!

Registration is capped at 50 people, and we appreciate signing up so we know how many chess sets to provide. No need to sign up if you'd like to bring your own game board!

*This program is open to anyone age 6 and older (adults without kids are more than welcome too!), and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
