Legal Assistance for Seniors In-Person
Visit the Center for Elder Law & Justice’s Mobile Legal Unit! A brief presentation, 1:00 - 1:30 pm, will be offered and then individuals can meet one-on-one with an attorney/paralegal team member from CELJ. A free, but brief “done in a day” legal consultation for seniors may cover civil legal matters such as:
- Debt harassment & consumer billing concerns
- Obtaining and/ or reviewing credit reports
- Health care proxies
- Tenant's rights & foreclosure
- Reviewing medical bills and health insurance documents
- Financial exploitation & elder abuse
