Tuesday Travelogue - Hawaii In-Person
In January of 2022, Outreach Coordinator Jason Poole had the opportunity to visit a friend on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. It was also the first time in over 40 years he was able to visit the place he was born and lived for the first 2 ½ years of his life. In this travelogue, he will trace the path he and his friend Dan followed around the island over the course of nine days. He'll start with a bike tour in Honolulu, travel through the center of the island to visit a premier rum distillery, go camping and watch surfers on the north and windwards coasts, and finish with a hike up the rigorous and beautiful Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail.
